Senior U.S. government officials are said to have used personal Gmail accounts to conduct official business, in what appears to be another case of inadequately secured communications technology being used for government business.

This was reported by the Washington Post, citing people with knowledge and insight into the emails themselves.

The Trump administration's national security adviser, Michael Waltz, also used Google's email service Gmail to conduct official business.
