U.S. President Donald Trump has proposed a new 15-point plan aimed at ending the war in Gaza. The proposal includes Hamas disarmament, an Israeli withdrawal from parts of Gaza and the establishment of an international stabilization force. Hamas has indicated acceptance of the framework, but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected the plan in its current form. Netanyahu maintains that Israel will not withdraw from Gaza until Hamas has been completely disarmed. The disagreement leaves the future of the proposed peace framework uncertain.
