Jean-Philippe Léo Smet, known by his stage name Johnny Hallyday (15 June 1943 – 6 December 2017), was a French singer and actor. He was married for 15 years to the Bulgarian-French singer Sylvie Vartan; they were considered a "golden couple" for 20 years.
