I think this is nothing new for you or the artists that contribute to the galleries, with the site having a vast array of visitors from all parts of the world.
And I must say that the low ratings of any cartoon of mine does not affect my ego or my work.
That's not the reason I worry about this situation.
Not at all.
Negative feedback is expected, be it due to a lousy cartoon or to cultural reasons.
I just think that if someone is offended by a cartoon, they could always use the comment space to give the artist a piece of his mind instead of using the anonymity and downgrade a work within minutes of being posted.
I have received only two of those negative opinions, both from two respectful and very nice people from Turkey.
It was awesome exchanging our point of views through messages after they opined with their comments.
Having different cultural or religious views is not an excuse to hide.
Again, thanks to all the visitors for the comments, feedback and opinions.
And sorry for the long comment.

we discussed this several times (e.g. here: http://www.toonpool.com/cartoons/down rat ing_127223 ) and as I said, we are already working on a new rating system resp. "like" system.
btw, the one who gave 1 star probably likes your style but feels offended of your dicks. It might be the only or simple way to tell you this.

Secret Circle, low ratings are kind of expected with some subjects that some people might find offensive.
With the readiness the "1" is always placed,I guess they are trying to make an statement rather than grading a cartoon based upon the drawing or the joke.
It was called to my attention by a friend of mine, and since then, it amazes me how diligent some people are when it comes to "downgrade" cartoons.
It's not the end of the world, though.
Let's consider feedback, not harsh criticism.
