it's in the north pole because that's where the story of Frankenstein ends. His monster follows him from India, to china, to Russia, and then to the North Pole. That’s where Dr. Frankenstein is found at the beginning of the book as well, where he is picked up by some explorers.

The monster is following the doctor out of spite for creating him without a partner. But in my comic the monster was fallowing the doctor out of love. I like reading Frankenstein like the doctor id running away from his one true love.

Well, that's kinda interesting, somehow sureal... as if the monster is pulling the river. Why is that located on north pole, anyhow? ;)
